Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Cauliflower

Peanuts, Caramel Popcorn, Chile Garlic Sauce and Honey

serves 3-4 guests as an appetizer 

Tools Required: 

Two sheets trays 

Tongs or spoon 

Oven, –Fryer, optional 

Mixing Bowl 

Ingredients 

1 medium size head of cauliflower, picked into florets, not bigger than the tines of a fork 

1# Brussel sprouts, stem trimmed off and cut in half, same size as cauliflower 

2 Tablespoons local honey, plus more/less based on sweet preference 

1 to 2 Tablespoons chili garlic oil, plus more/less based on spice preference 

½ cup of Muzquiz Peanuts 

1 cup Caramel Popcorn 

1 teaspoon of vinegar powder, optional 

Salt and pepper to taste 

Method: 

Turn oven on and set temperature at 450 degrees.   

Place cauliflower florets on sheet tray and roast approximately 9 minutes or until golden brown. 

Place Brussel sprouts on separate sheet tray and roast approximately 9 minutes or until dark brown color develops. 

Remove both vegetables from oven and place in the mixing bowl with remaining ingredients and mix well.  Serve warm.  

*** If using the fryer, sunflower seed oil is recommended with a temperature of 350 degrees.  Cook vegetables separately in basket approximately 6-7 minutes or until golden dark brown. 

***** I have heard good things about using an air fryer for this recipe
